Murcia Region Map
All the Polaris World resorts are located in the region of Murcia on a coastline called the ‘Costa Calida’ (the warm coast). Murcia has its own airport and is also about 1 hour south of Alicante airport. There are direct flights to Murcia from all over the UK and the region’s new international airport is due to open in 2009.

Mar Menor Sea: The Mar Menor is a large inland saltwater sea (about 12 miles long), surrounded by safe, sandy beaches.
Calblanque Nature Reserve: A large stretch of protected coastline with some of the best beaches in Spain.
Cartagena: A historic port, with a lovely marina. Good for shopping, eating out and exploring.
Mazarron: A Spanish seaside town, with a lovely beach and a wide selection of beach front restaurants and bars.
Sierra Espuna: A large regional nature reserve, with mountains rising to over 5,000 feet. Famous for walking, mountain biking, rock climbing and its flora and fauna.
Caravaca de la Cruz: One of the 5 Holy cities of the World, Caravaca has extensive fortified walls and historic architecture.
Murcia: The regional capital, with a historic old town, fantastic shopping and famous annual fiestas.
El Valle Nature Reserve: This beautiful nature reserve is only 10-15 minutes from most of the Polaris resorts.
