On 10th July, the Polaris school, King’s College, had its first Open Day. The school staff provided information about the school and the facilities on offer. The school is opening on the 12th Sept 2007 forchildren aged from two to nine years. In future the school will offer the English syllabus all the way through to eighteen years, including A level study. The school is likely to have a wide mix of nationalities, including local Spanish children and British children living on the Resorts or nearby.

Mar Menor, La Torre and El Valle are now connected by the shuttle bus. The service is free and goes 4 times a day each way. The shuttle bus will connect all the resorts when they are open and also connect to the Polaris World Beach Club. The coach is large, so there is plenty of space for transport between the Resorts.

4 new food and drink outlets are opening at La Torre golf resort this month: Acacia, an Italian restaurant with a terrace directly overlooking the lake, El Roble, a Tapas bar serving traditional Spanish food, Avellano, an ice cream and juice parlour and The Clover, an Irish pub with a wide selection of beers. The Clover will have live music and will also show football and other sporting events.

Polaris World has started its own TV channel for people who use the resorts. The programming will be informative - including programmes about the region, what’s going on in the area and places to visit of interest.

6 exclusive villas have been launched which will be positioned by the beach club on the La Manga strip. The villas are on three floors and are all frontline to the beach. With private pools, large terraces and spacious interiors, the villas will have stunning views.

A brand new release of one bedroom apartments at Condado de Alhama resort. The apartments have their own private entrance and have access to all the Polaris World services including bars, restaurants, property management, laundry service, babysitting….The apartments are surrounded by gardens and 48of them are frontline to the golf.

An exclusive range of 2 and 3 bedroom apartments have been launched on their own private island in Condado de Alhama. All of the apartments directly overlook the lake and they have large terraces to make the most of the stunning views. The private resort within Condado will have three infinity pools, a gymnasium and cafe, plus there will be a boat which runs directly to the Oasis town centre, with all its restaurants, shops and bars. Sailing boats will also be available to make the most of the lake: the largest of any at Polaris World. This latest release at Condado de Alhama is set to be the most popular yet.

Polaris Home Style have now opened an outlet store which has a wide selection of indoor and outdoor furniture. The store offers previous seasons furniture at very competitive prices. The shop is open 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday. In the morning it is open from 10am until 2pm and in the afternoon it is open from 4pm to 8pm. The store is located on the main road between San Javier and Murcia at Km 1. From San Javier, drive past La Torre Golf Resort and El Valle Golf Resort and it is on the right hand side a little way after El Valle.

El Valle Golf Resort is the third of the Polaris World Resorts to open and now there is a show villa on the resort. The villa is a Villa Algaba, a 3 bedroom luxury villa with its own private pool. El Valle Golf Resort has both apartments and villas and it is nestled below the El Valle nature reserve, between Murcia and the Mar Menor Sea. El Valle is smaller and more exclusive than the other Polaris Resorts and there are only a handful of villas and apartments still available. A brand new motorway has just opened connecting Cartagena to Almeria. This is the first of three new roads which will dramatically change the connections to the Costa Calida area. The other two roads are still under construction, due to open this year. The main resort to benefit from these new connections is Condado de Alhama, although all resorts will now have better access to Almeria and Granada, including the skiing areas of the Sierra Nevada. The new section of the AP7 motorway leads from Cartagena, past Mazarron and down to Almeria.
