The Naranjos Penthouses at Condado de Alhama resort are now over 80% sold and the next release of penthouse style apartments will have a 6% price increace (between 8,200 and 10,200 Euros per apartment). The first apartments at Hacienda Riquelme golf resort are now ready and the first people are getting their keys this month. Hacienda Riquelme is the 4th Polaris World resort to open. It is a very open and spacious resort, and most apartments not only have great golf views but also have wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and mountains. If you fancy taking up tennis or improving your skills then you can join the tennis classes at Mar Menor or La Torre Golf Resorts. Professional tennis trainers will be on hand to teach the latest techniques. Tennis has proved popular at both resorts throughout the summer and more courts are being built at Mar Menor II and the other new resorts. For the younger players, Paddle tennis is a popular way into the sport and there will be Paddle tennis courts at Terrazas de La Torre and Condado de Alhama resorts.

Work is busy on the perimeter avenue around Condado de Alhama resort. The road is going in and palm trees are being planted in the centre of the avenue by the Jardines de Alhama area. The Jardines area continues to take shape, with the structures up in all the gardens and brickwork going in.

Polaris Supermarket are now offering home delivery both on and off the resorts. At La Torre Golf resort if you order more than 30 Euros of goods (about £20) delivery is completely free. For less that 30 Euros the charge is just 3 Euros for delivery. It is possible to order online from all the categories in the supermarket, including fruit and vegetables, household products, cakes and pastries and wine. There are also special offers available on the website. The site is both in English and Spanish and has been designed to be quick and easy to use.

Work is well underway at what will be the largest of the Polaris World Resorts. The Jardines de Alhama area is starting to take shape and cranes are already in place in the Naranjos area. The new road network is also making fast progress: the AP7 coastal motorway is now open as well as a dual carriageway connecting Mazarron to Totana. A Polaris sponsored expedition to the Artic is taking place in August and September 2007. The expedition has 3 objectives: 1) to be the first Spanish climbers to climb Mount Stetind, a difficult tower of rock and snow 2) a Polar diving expedition, forming a documentary on the Svalbard islands 3) a study of climate change by scientists and students.

Polaris Cuidad launch ‘San Pedro Centro’, located very close to the high street. In phase 1 there will be 22 properties with 2 or 3 bedrooms and large terraces. The apartments come fully equipped with kitchen and oven, marble bathroom, barbecue area, large storage rooms and garage. San Pedro is a local Spanish town located at the north end of the Mar Menor Sea. It is close to San Javier airport and the Dos Mares shopping centre. The apartments are the latest release from Polaris Cuidad, a division that builds apartments in the towns around Murcia.

Jack Nicklaus visited Polaris World at the weekend and spent Sunday going to the Condado de Alhama site. Condado will host the Jack Nicklaus signature course, plus two Bear’s Best courses. The landscaping of the first golf course has already begun and construction is well under way in the Jardines de Alhama area and Naranjos area.
