Polaris World Foundation Dinner
Tuesday, June 10th, 2008The first dinner for the Polaris World Foundation will be held on the 13th of June. The foundation has been running for four years and it supports worthwhile causes, particularly in Africa. To date, over 60 projects have been supported. The charity dinner will raise funds for the foundation and it will be held at the Lago de La Torre conference centre at La Torre Golf Resort. The price of the dinner is 50 Euros, and it starts at 9pm. At the dinner there will be a presentation about the foundation as well as a raffle and a flamenco show. Later there will be dancing, with Doss performing on stage.
There will be free buses from the other Polaris World resorts to attend the night.
A Polaris sponsored expedition to the Artic is taking place in August and September 2007. The expedition has 3 objectives: 1) to be the first Spanish climbers to climb Mount Stetind, a difficult tower of rock and snow 2) a Polar diving expedition, forming a documentary on the Svalbard islands 3) a study of climate change by scientists and students.
